One Girls Ocean Challenge

It’s official!  At 1630 today, the boat left the yard at CSR on her way toward the mountains!  She should be in to Toronto mid next week, possibly wednesday or thursday.  Oh happy day!

I’ve spent the day re-organizing everything inside and out.  She’s strapped, slung, sorted and ready to go!  It’s been a long day and I’m going to bed.  Hope everything is well back on the other side of life 🙂  Here’s a picture of her flying through the air ready to get into her trailer.

Time to pack the boat and get her ready to come home!  I’m sitting in Washington Dulles waiting for my flight to Seattle, and absolutely overwhelmed with how much we have achieved in such as short time.  Thank you to everyone who has touched One Girl’s Ocean Challenge 🙂

Launch Party – 5pm to 7pm

Come and meet the new girl!  She will be arriving from Seattle just in time to get cleaned up and get her rig up for the cameras!  Then we’ll have some champagne and a toast at the dock that night.

See you all at National Yacht Club on Wednesday March 24th, 7pm.  Learn about the campaign and meet some of the Broadreach Team.  It’s going to be a great night !

Broadreach support youth through sailing programs and initiatives.  Team Broadreach are going to be part of One Girl’s Ocean Challenge.  They will learn how to sail the boat, develop responsibilities on the boat and have goals.  It’s all about passing on the passion 🙂  Here’s some pictures of the individuals and of the volunteers….also check out their webpage, the link is below.

We’re going back to Seattle, but this time we’re looking for a place to stay!  Does anyone know someone who would take in a sailor for a few days?  March 25th to March 28th. 🙂
