Planning for France 2012 qualifying year has begun! Uk Halsey are designing new sails for France as we speak. Max sail area, max life and max speed are the key factors. Brian and the whole UK Halsey family are definitely the talent pool to be putting this together. Hopefully we’ll be able to show you the new main at the Toronto International Boat Show this year!
Phew!
Southwinds Yacht Detailing Services http://bitly.com/bKrgRF came by and gave OGOC a FANTASTIC polishing! She’s sparkling inside and out now and ready for her show. Today’s job is to get her in her slip, and dress ship. See you at the Port Credit In Water Boat Show tomorrow!

TADA!
We have arrived. What a great sail to Port Credit. Nick and I blasted along under sunny skies with the code 0 and double slotted with the genoa. Tomorrow move in for the Port Credit In Water Boat Show starts. In the meantime I gave OGOC a little present I made for her. It’s a “chart bag” of sorts that will hold all the navigation equipment etc up in the cabin roof and keep everything safe, high and dry when things go nuclear.

One week to the Port Credit In Water Boat Show! We’re going to be in the water with OGOC so you can actually see inside the boat and really appreciate the cozy quarters 🙂
See you there!

Well the weather Gods played nicely for us this weekend. We had four great days of racing with decent breeze, and fantastic race committee work to make the racing on the boat tons of fun. After battling it out, we came in a very respectable third on the A-35 in IRC 1. Congrats to Rags (2nd), and Xoomer Xpress (1st).
Also a big shout out to the guys I raced with on the A-35. We had a wonderful range of skills on the boat and a fantastic “boat load” of spirit. I made some awesome new friends and hopefully we’ll get to sail together again one day 🙂

Yesterday was the first full day of racing. I’m on the A-35 for the weekend. It was a great first day of racing on “Great Escape”! We’re in second place, but running a bit short handed today. It’s going to be a lot of work to hang on 🙂

Wow! What a great day racing on the X-35. It’s the IRC North Americans at RCYC. Tomorrow I’m on the A-35. 🙂 Should be bags of fun on the bow. Hopefully the wind will settle in. The forecast is for light and shifty, plus there’s a rhum front scheduled to arrive shortly after docking!
