Well you’re probably all wondering how things went? It’s been a busy week to say the least. The short version of the long story is that we successfully got the mini into her cradle and she’s on her way to France as we speak. Our first race is April 14th. It’s a 150 Mile race double handed in the Bay of Biscay. More to come soon, but in the meantime here are some pictures of “how to get a mini into a shipping container”!

Today’s mission should you choose to accept it is to lift the mini off of her keel and then load her onto the shipping cradle along with ALL the stuff to go to France. Lifelines need to be pulled and a little welding of the cradle along the way as well and we’ll be good to go. Then tomorrow at 10am Bristol Marine loads her into the shipping cradle and she’s on her way to France for the qualifying events!

What a WONDERFUL night! The Gala was a fantastic success. Everyone had a great time. Broad Reach Foundation gave us a lovely presentation of their program; our Commodore of ABYC gave us a warm warm welcoming, and our auctioneer worked his magic! Thank you to everyone who made this all happen. The Gala also had a FANTASTIC amount of support from sponsors. Please check out the website with all of our amazing auction items we sold last and give them a consideration next time you’re making a purchase. Next up FRANCE!

If you already have, thank you very much. Otherwise, we need a good idea of numbers by this coming Friday. Thanks very much for your support and for helping us to make this such a great event!

Happy Monday everyone! It’s shaping up to be a busy week, with our presentation at National Yacht Club’s speaker’s night on Wednesday, working on Nick’s boat Storm Trooper and hopefully finalizing the shipping details to get OGOC to France. Somewhere in the middle there I’ll start studying the charts for France, and tonight I’m off to to burn off the Key Lime Coladas of St. Thomas! Busy Busy Busy Days…..and it’s only February! What’s keeping you busy this week?
