The starts this Saturday July 21,2012. It’s a non stop 300 nautical mile circumnavigation of Lake Ontario. The racing starts at 1030 in Port Credit and heads east to Main Duck Island. After skirting around it’s shoals we… head south to Oswego’s Ford Shoal and then make the treck west to the Niagara river’s R2. Then the final leg runs north back to where it all started in Port Credit. I’ll be racing on Phoenix, a J109. Sheila has put together a fantastic crew and we’re out to kick some butt! The weather forecast on the other hand has decided to make us work for it. Lake Ontario is being bombarded with a series of high pressure systems. That means light air, but it also means high humidity and the potential for very fast very isolated thunder storms to pop up.
