Hey everyone
We’ve had a great response to our exciting Gala event on March 10th, but in an effort to help the kitchen order the food, we need you to call the ABYC office (416-698-4498) to purchase your tickets.  If you already have, thank you very much.  Otherwise, we need a good idea of numbers by this coming Friday.  Thanks very much for your support and for helping us to make this such a great event!

Don’t forget to get your Gala tickets by this Friday!  We need to order the food, decorate the tables and find a dress for the girl to wear, and we need to know if you are coming 🙂  Call the ABYC office to book your tickets 416-698-4498.

We’re in the news!  Check out the article in Northumberland Today and I’ll see you all in Port Hope on Sunday at 2pm for a full account of all the thrills, chills and excitement of the racing over the past two years.  It’s all being hosted by the Port Hope Yacht Club and we’ll be at my old Sea Cadet hall Skeena, at 17 Mill Street.  See you there!

Happy Monday everyone!  It’s shaping up to be a busy week, with our presentation at National Yacht Club’s speaker’s night on Wednesday, working on Nick’s boat Storm Trooper and hopefully finalizing the shipping details to get OGOC to France. Somewhere in the middle there I’ll start studying the charts for France, and tonight I’m off to to burn off the Key Lime Coladas of St. Thomas!  Busy Busy Busy Days…..and it’s only February!  What’s keeping you busy this week?

If you haven’t been to hear an official One Girl’s Ocean Challenge story, you’re in luck.  We have 4 presentation nights coming up this month.  National Yacht Club Feb 15, Bronte Yacht Club on Feb 23, Port Hope Yacht Club at the Skeena Sea Cadet Hall in Port Hope on Feb 26 and then Nepean Sailing Club on Feb 29.  Come hear the thrills, chills and spills of racing a 21 foot Mini and campaigning to the 2013 Mini Transat Race from France to Guadaloupe.

Today’s adventures saw us on a 25 foot runabout and bookin’ it to Norman Island to do some snorkeling at the caves,

and then off to The Indians for more snorkeling,

then up to the Willy T for lunch…..possibly the best roti I have EVER had!  Then we headed over to Jost Van Dyke to the Soggy Dollar bar for the BEST Painkillers!

All in all a wonderful day island hopping and snorkeling.  🙂
